Terms of Service.
Last updated: June 2, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Spoon, an AI recruitment platform operated by ExpoSQL AI Labs (“ExpoSQL”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, building a profile, posting a role, or otherwise using Spoon, you agree to these Terms. If you’re using Spoon on behalf of a company, you confirm you’re authorized to bind that company.
2. What Spoon is
Spoon lets candidates create a single profile and complete an AI-led interview, and lets companies post roles, receive AI-matched and anonymized shortlists, run AI interviews, and connect with shortlisted candidates. Spoon is a tool that supports hiring decisions — it does not make hiring decisions for you and is not an employer, staffing agency, or guarantor of any outcome.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information. You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. We use Google sign-in; your use of Google authentication is also subject to Google’s terms.
4. Candidates
Candidates use Spoon for free. You retain ownership of the information and answers you provide, and you grant ExpoSQL a license to host, process, and share that information with companies in accordance with our Privacy Policy — including in anonymized form for matching and review. Your contact details (name, email, phone, photo) are withheld from companies until you advance to the connect stage. You agree your profile and interview answers are truthful.
5. Companies, credits, and payment
Posting jobs and browsing the anonymized talent pool are free. Paid company plans start at $99/month (Solo) and include a monthly allotment of credits; annual billing gives two months free. Billable AI actions (matching, interview invites, AI interviews, and connecting with candidates) consume credits. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel anytime and retain access through the end of the paid period. Credit top-up packs are one-time purchases and do not expire. Payments are processed by Stripe; by purchasing you agree to Stripe’s terms.
Except where required by law, payments and used credits are non-refundable. Monthly included credits roll over month to month, capped at three months' worth per account. We may change pricing prospectively with notice.
6. AI interviews and assessments
Spoon uses AI to conduct interviews, validate dictated transcripts, and generate scores and summaries. These outputs are automated, may contain errors, and are provided to support — not replace — human judgment. Companies are solely responsible for their hiring decisions and for complying with all applicable employment, anti-discrimination, equal-opportunity, and data-protection laws in the jurisdictions where they hire.
7. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse Spoon: no scraping, reverse-engineering, attempting to de-anonymize candidates, uploading unlawful or infringing content, impersonation, or interfering with the service or its guardrails. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the platform or its users.
8. Intellectual property
Spoon, including its software, design, and content, is owned by ExpoSQL and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Spoon as intended. You keep rights to your own content.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Spoon is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee any hire, interview outcome, match quality, or uninterrupted service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ExpoSQL’s total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
10. Termination and changes
You may stop using Spoon at any time. We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date, and continued use means you accept them.
